All Written Comments
2001
•Wonderful course! Very informative! Can’t wait to try this on my cervical patients as well as all my upper extremity evals. Thanks!
•This Strategic Orthopedic method of spine treatment should be the STANDARD of care! Great job at clarifying these complex problems. I feel like I can perform better overall evals. than 90% or more of my colleagues at my place of employment & have quicker & better follow-up treatment successes. I urge all my colleagues to attend these courses. Thank you.
•Once again, a great course.
•Strategic Orthopedics courses have been by far the most applicable to immediate application and ongoing treatment plans.
•Well organized, complete system for the evaluation, treatment, re-examination, & documentation of pt. care – not just a series of techniques, but a complete system.
Great job Angelo. Glad it finally happened. (Cert. MDT).
•I want to thank you for helping me enjoy my profession more and for helping me get outcomes I never thought I would obtain with my pts. This is the most effective system I have ever used in my 10 yrs. of practice. I hope one day you will be recognized as a PT who for the first time developed a complete program that was effective, objective, & scientifically proven for the Eval. and Tx. of spinal pain.
•Perhaps expand the course to 3 days, need more practice time on ourselves and more patients to see.
•Great course. Thanks for all your hard work, enthusiasm, & patience with us!
•Always excellent. Hopefully we’ll have as much success with this as we’ve had with the low back course.
•Great course, I’m anticipating trying this out and having the great success I’ve had with the lumbar information. Looking forward to the headache course.
•Thank you Angelo. I’m excited to start treating cervical pt’s. in a whole new manner!
•Thank you for making something which I truly enjoy, more rewarding for both my pt’s. & myself.
•Would be helpful to see the entire Section 7 done on a pretend pt. to see the flow. This is just my personal need & I doubt it is the general consensus. I would have liked a 3rd day added to see more patients.
•Fantastic course.
•As always, one comes away from one of Angelo’s courses with new treatment options, new & exciting ideas to share with patients & colleagues. I look forward to improved success with cervical patients with these new tools.
•Awesome course. Lab practice was extremely helpful. Course content was extraordinary.
•I feel all my questions during lecture & lab were answered well.
•Once again – A great experience that I feel I can immediately implement upon returning to the clinic.
•Did not exceed my expectations because they were already very high !! Can’t wait to practice these techniques on patients.
•I found this very helpful. It gave me a much better line of progression as well as the various patient PREP’s.
•Keep going Angelo – we need that level IV course! Best instructor I have ever heard in 14 years. You’re Great!
•Excellent course. I hate to say it, but perhaps a third day would allow more time.
•What a wonderful job you have done with this Cerv. / Thor. course Angelo!!! Thank you so much for coming to Cincinnati!! You’re the best teacher ever!!...and so much fun…so interesting…and so knowledgeable!!
•Thank you, you must teach the next 2 courses, I am looking forward to applying this, I have had great fun with low backs & have learned much about fine tuning.
•Could you consider giving the headache course next vs. the complex spine course.
•Well worth the time & $ - this has cleared the fog & eliminated the mystery of complex / confusing Sx. Presentations. This should help me attain full Jedi Knight status someday.
•Great having you once again.
•The X-Ray pictures were very helpful to understanding upper & lower cervical positioning. The lab / hands-on and instructor input was crucial to the confidence & ability to perform this approach. Thank You.
•These two courses (SO I, II) have encouraged me & increased my confidence level as a therapist. Thanks!
•It would be very helpful to take the headache course right after this course (as many cervical pts. have H/A’s). Great clarification once again of my McKenzie info. this time from the McKenzie Course - Part B. (PartsA,B).
•Very informative and practical techniques, which were simple to perform.
•Great job Angelo. How’d you do it in just 2 days?
•Thank you! Can’t wait to take your Headache course! Keep up the good work! You’re top notch! (McK. Parts A-D).
•Excellent organization of crucial material. You were able to cover a large expanse of information effectively because of this.
•Angelo’s organization & adherence to time schedule much appreciated. Good progression of Course I.
•Excellent. I’m excited to begin treating my cervical & thoracic pt’s.
•Great Course! Right on track for my needs in an out-pt. facility.
•Excellent organization & has immediate application in my clinic.
•Thank you! It was GOOD!
•Very organized. I plan to encourage all PT / PTA’s in our organization to attend.
•Bring on more courses.
•Angelo, keep up the good work – you make me want to stay in the profession – you’re right, I’ve worked too hard to throw in the towel. Thanks. Sue (McK. Parts A-D).
•Labs for asymmetric techniques could have been combined into breakout sessions
•As I expected; excellent use of my 2 days was spent on your course. I must admit to slacking off of my Strategic Orthopedic approach, but NO MORE. I am once again motivated to conquer back and cervical pain with confidence!
•30 min. of reviewing the evaluation would have been helpful. Should have done patient’s eval on an overhead.
•Are you going to make this international so it’s available in foreign countries?
•Would prefer a 2.5 – 3 day course to have 3 visits with the patients.
•Thoroughly enjoyed course. Angelo does an outstanding job of making learning fun!
•Great job on the cervical course. I look forward to the next two courses. The entire group was impressed. Thanks. M.O., PT (McK. Parts A-D)
•Keep up the enthusiasm – it’s contagious! The laser paper & clear photos in the manual are great. Thank You!
•Would it be helpful to give the pt. a piece of paper with printed instructions for all the things they are to do & keep track of?
•Headache course will be very interesting.
•Thank you!!
•Thanks for your work in the field. Also, I appreciate your willingness for us to call you at your office if needed.
•Can’t wait until the next course.
•Great / Excellent course – can’t wait to get back into the clinic & apply it!! Thanks. Could you maybe add 1 more pt. to evaluate? (more repetition coach!!).
•The course met my expectations but only because they were so high after attending the lumbar course. I didn’t expect anything less than the best and you delivered once again. I’m looking forward to putting this into practice & can’t wait for S.O. III, IV to come. The 2 days seemed to fly by and it seemed like another ½ day would have been beneficial.
•I was very impressed with the way you handled a very “scary” patient during the course (the 2nd patient you evaluated & treated).
•The course would have exceeded my expectations if I had not been to the lumbar course. I didn’t know what to expect going into the lumbar course but I felt I knew what to expect in the C-Spine course & it met those goals.
•Can’t wait for S.O. III to come out!
•I’ve come to expect an excellent presentation from A. DiMaggio.
•I like the new approach to upper extremity pathology.
•Could use a bit more time for the lab / hands-on portion.
•Once again, the course material and instruction far exceeded my expectations. I am excited to get back to the clinic to begin this new STRATEGIC approach!
•You answered all my questions. Did a great job handling the frustrated patient you evaluated & treated.
•I had been shown some of the techniques from others that had attended the course previously and expected this to be a review of what they had taught me, it was much more. While I have had some success I believe I will greatly improve after this course.
•Great course! Thank You! Info. I can put to use immediately.
•I appreciate the professional growth this has provided for myself & my staff.
•The cervical documentation system seemed more difficult to organize than the lumbar. Data collection seemed more unclear.
•As I mentioned in the last course – one of the best courses I have ever attended (bar none). I have been looking forward to this course for months. Thank You. Joe Gianoni, PT.
•WONDERFUL COURSE!
•You are really an excellent instructor.
•Pt. Rx. Sessions too repetitive, long & unrealistic.
•Last course greatly improved my confidence, and now I feel more prepared to attack difficult spine patients.
•Great course – will be using material / techniques Monday morning – also – appreciate chance to review topics from lumbar course. Thanks.
•Would have liked to have seen you work with more patients – but I understand the time constraint.
•Thank you – keep up the great work for our profession.
•Great Job!
•Thank you. Keep bringing more materials to us and moving our profession forward.
•I have had such good results with the lumbar course, I can’t wait to use this new info on Cerv./Thor. pain!
•Good luck getting the next course going. Try to explain why TMJ is not affected by retraction more thoroughly. Thank you.
•Love the systematic approach, it helped me organize my attack on back / cerv. pain.
•Once again, course confirmed my clinical observations over the years, but you have not only fine-tuned them, but you have taken them to a level I wasn’t seeing clearly. Thank you.
•I thought the course was excellent & I will be able to use the info immediately.
•Angelo, you’re doing a great job. I wish your courses were mandatory for all PT’s during their education. I’m very much looking forward to the next 2 courses. Keep up the GREAT work!
•The 2 courses have been the best I have attended in 11 years. Thank you. N.S.
•Looking forward to III & IV. We are trying to apply your level of detailed documentation to extremities as well.
•Maybe give more suggestions on where to start with patients that don’t respond to treatment on the 1st visit.
•If at all possible, make course III available sooner.
•I now expect the quality Angelo delivers. Possibly make the slides & manual as meticulously detailed as that which is shown when treating patients.
•Overall, the course lived up to the high expectations that I set based on the 1st course.
•Thank you very much for your contribution to my skills & my patients recovery!
•I would have liked more time spent guiding the treatment progression and more info about this in the course manual.
•Excellent. Motivational. Thanks!!
•As with your first course, there were things learned with this new cervical algorithm / learning material, that were not seen before, which is a great plus. Thank you.
•2 days seemed to be a perfect amount of time! Sometimes it was hard to hear the patients talk.
•I felt lab sessions could have moved along more smoothly if we had less breaks. Should allow more time for the patients, especially the complicated ones.
•Come work with me!
•Reinforced a number of things which I knew but had gotten lax on over the years.
2002
•This course made better use of time than the lumbar course. This course has significantly improved my confidence in treating neck pts. just as the lumbar course did with low back pts. Thank you! T.D., PT.
•I knew this course would be great. (McK. Parts A-D).
•Always excellent!
•It would have been helpful to see a complete eval. done including all symmetrical & asymmetrical forces.
•Thanks for the critiquing and giving me the confidence to try the techniques out on my pts.
•Nothing in this course was unimportant. Having 3 people to each table was helpful. More details in manual re: when to progress pt., tips, etc.
•Well paced with clear idea of treatment strategies by the end of the course.
•It is such a good feeling to have my patient improvement percentage So high. I work in a small community and word gets around. I owe it to you Angelo. Thank you! Donna, PT.
•Thanks Angelo! You continue to be, and will always be my mentor! (McK. Parts A-D).
•Keep up the good work. Can’t wait for the next 2 courses.
•I came expecting my expectations to be exceeded! Excellent course Angelo. Thank You.
•Can’t wait for S.O. 3.
•Thanks again Angelo. I am looking forward to getting back & having the same success with my cervical / thoracic patients as I have had with my lumbar patients
•Instructor motivates me to continue working with the most difficult pts. I have seen as a PT. This Treatment system for backs and necks is a fun challenge. I never say my patients are fabricating symptoms, though many of the doctors I work with are uncertain of them (until they experience symptoms).
•I heard your point about spending time with patients, I still think this approach is difficult in its purest form. Being able to reach you with questions following your course is helpful – don’t spread yourself too thin.
•Excellent – the knowledge presented gives on a lot of confidence in returning to treat cervical pts.
•I feel this course was more concise & better organized than S.O. I; however, it would help to stay on the time schedule – especially with our guest patients. Also, I think you could have combined a few lab techniques together. Overall – good job. Thanx.
•Practicing the techniques gave me confidence to carry them over into the clinic.
•Excellent idea to continue inviting actual patients to be evaluated & treated on the course. Perhaps increased practice time would have been beneficial.
•I have enjoyed both courses as they have both given me new skills that I can use tomorrow. I look forward to future classes.
•Great to have a difficult patient come in so we’ll need to know how much time & skill we need to apply.
•I am excited to try the things I have learned for my “shoulder” and “thoracic” patients. It’s also nice to know I can call Angelo if I get stuck on a patient case!! Thanks Angelo!
•Thanks Angelo –
•As good as the lumbar course!!
•Angelo, thanks for letting me sit in on the course for a second time. I am more convinced than ever that this is what we should be doing. I look forward to continuing on with the next 2 courses. T.P., PT.
•Great seminar / Bring on the headache course.
•Permission to use the documentation system forms is very helpful.
•Really enjoy your teaching style – Will look at upper extremity diagnosis’ with a new cervical perspective. Thank you. Can’t wait for Course #3.
•Great job! My weakness clinically (treating LBP & cerv. pain) is now my strength! Thanks! Keep spreading you techniques! C.C., PTA.
•Thank you for sharing years of experience.
•Great job – it did not exceed my expectations this time because I expected it to be great!
•Anxious to try these exercises with several of my current cervical patients.
•Thank you !!!
•Would have liked to have seen more patients treated!
•Thank – You ! Maintain your FOCUS on DETAILS.
•Thanks Angelo – you’re awesome!
•Great job Angelo!! K.E.Z., PT.
•Great Course.
2003
•This course was money well spent. All continuing education courses should be as good as this one.
•Great job.
•Really enjoy having real patients on the course. If there were more patients it would have been even more helpful.
•This course seems to fill in the cracks where usage of repeated spinal motion has failed to help or progress a patients symptom reduction.
•Great material – extremely practical – presented with excellent teaching methods! Only concern – some of the written material in the manual was too small a print.
•Thank you for providing a clear, consistent cervical treatment game plan. It was helpful to revisit the basics, which will help with the cervical & lumbar system.
•I am very thankful for this info – I feel more confident with the back patients I treat & really feel like I know what is going on … I encourage you to continue with this material – wish we could have all learned this in school … I also appreciate the straight forward approach – the simplicity of the info – I can go use it all on Monday.
•Angelo, great course! Put yourself down in the books as one of the true pioneers in spine rehab! Sincerely, L.B., PT.
•More patients to exam. & treat – it is really helpful to see this in the course.
•Overall excellent course, very good treatment approach to C/S injury/pain. Very objective / clear as with the lumbar course. Great Job!
•Great course. I already have patients in mind that I could have helped if I had had this course sooner.
•My neck feels better!
•I’ve been looking for something to help me take my patients to the next level (better results, quicker time frames, lasting results) & this is the reason I chose this course. We need to be able to prove that we are offering these pts. something that is positively affecting their healing process & not just spinning our wheels during the “Natural Course” of healing & then taking credit for the results. Nice job. Keep it up. Good info.
•Thank you – great job again.
•I have thoroughly enjoyed the lab sessions. Wish more time could be allotted. Thank you Angelo for you effort in the spine area!
•Great course again !!!
•Angelo, thank you once again! I could not wait after the lumbar course to be given the opportunity to assist cervical pain patients the way I was able to immediately help my low back patients coming off the 1st course. Thanks! T.M., PT.
•Very well organized – Great job – I’m very enthusiastic about the material – very helpful course –
•Great as expected. K.G., PT.
•The hands-on experience was very beneficial to me.
•Compared to the McKenzie courses I’ve taken, the instruction is more confident, the techniques are more user-friendly, & the exam. forms are 10x better. B.S., PT, (Mck. Parts A-C)
•Great research & clinical data / examples to reinforce rationale.
•Great job once again! Glad I was able to be here.
•Excellent course.
•My expectations were very high from the 1st course. It’s terrific to learn & improve my outcomes SO much (and terrible at the same time that I was oblivious/ignoring so much detail! I enjoy my career more for having attended (and that’s great ‘cause I’m still paying for my degree!) Thanks !!
•All of your courses have been excellent.
•Great course, please develop next course for the spine ASAP.
•Very clear, concise, & informative. Photos / illustrations / slides in our manual, all extremely helpful for retaining the info once I’m back in the clinic. THANK YOU !
•Your willingness to follow thru with personal phone calls for both patients and therapists is commendable.
•Angelo – love how you focus, and love your humor.
•Excellent presentation. Clear guidelines how to evaluate & progress cerv/thor pts.
•I am motivated once again to strive to be a better PT. After hearing you lecture and guide me, my enthusiasm to treat low backs and necks has soared.
•Excellent presentation and assistance with giving me a better understanding of how to treat my “slow to respond” patients.
•Great course once again! Thanks!
•I found the charts & photos of the hands-on techniques in our manual to be very helpful –
2004
•Thanks for a very worthwhile weekend!
•When I finished the lumbar course I was very excited about the material and have had good result (although I’m sure if I would review the material & use it better with more detail, my results would be better). Although I don’t like courses more than 2 days, maybe this one could have been.
•Very helpful both professionally & personally. Reaffirms approach with lumbar patients as well.
•Enjoyed the course.
•Thank you very much! I feel that I have many tools to help myself and my patients.
•I think it’s invaluable to see & experience patient interaction & interview. To see how you (the expert) handle problems with real patients helps me the most. I would like to have seen a couple of more.
•The detail in treating patients with neck problems separates this course from the other courses I have taken. (McK. Parts A,B).
•The lumbar and this cervical course has/will help with all my patients.
•Can hardly wait for the Headache course!
•Great course. Looking forward to S.O. III (headache course). I don’t think you could cut out anything from this course, all the sections were important.
•Thanks Angelo! Your approach will help me to optimize my patient care. Appreciate it very much. Mario.
•Love the slides – could improve them with a few more patient examples and perhaps more x-rays, MRI’s like in course I.
•The “Tick” method of having the patient record symptom frequency and Strategy #3, Perception Time, seem new since I took the back course. Also, the 18 workplace modifications in Strategy #8 would have been nice to have repeated in this course manual also.
•I knew this course would be excellent. Makes me realize I am getting sloppy on the lumbar and will get back on track. Thanks Angelo! Carol C., PT, (McK. A-D, 37 years experience).
•Once again, the attention to detail and thoroughness to slight changes that can make a difference is unmatched at other courses. I appreciate the complete “System” you’ve created to take back to the clinic rather than the “Techniques” that other courses give you with no real direction on when to use them. (McK. A,B).
•Very informative and professional. Lab time was valuable and time was used well. Just a few times may have felt rushed in order to stay on schedule.
•Thanks Angelo for another great course. I foresee utilizing these concepts as extensively as I do the lumbar concepts.
•Angelo is an excellent instructor. (McK. A-C).
•Another great American BackPain Center course. Looking forward to the headache course – for personal as well as professional reasons. I would expect it to be as helpful and well organized as the prior 2 courses, so it should be good.
•You have made sense of all the info I learned in 16 days on 4 McKenzie courses in just 5 days on your first 2 courses. I can and do use the info the next day in the clinic. MD’s know they can safely refer back patients (and hopefully now cervical patients) to me and will get positive results! (McK. A-D).
•This course has greatly increased my confidence in treating neck patients. I’m not afraid I’m going to make their symptoms worse. I need to review the lumbar material and not be such a “softie” with my patients.
•Great!
•I appreciate the consistency between the low back and cervical courses. I should be able to go back and correct some of my errors I’ve been making with my lumbar patients.
•I came into this with high expectations due to the excellence of SO I (lumbar), and I was not disappointed. These courses provide me with a sense of empowerment above and beyond anything else I have done in my 11 year career.
•Great course!
2005
Thank you, I feel excited to try this approach on my cervical & thoracic patients
If my results are as good as they've been with the lumbar program, I'm sure this course will exceed my expectations.
I've had good results with my lumbar patients using this approach, so I'm anxious to try this with my cervical patients.
This course helped me to better understand the clinical ideas for the lumbar patients while introducing new ideas for cerv./thor. patients.
The information from the first course allows this course to get into greater practical uses of the system rather than just trying to understand the system itself.
Angelo listens well and explains things clearly.
Very well organized practical sessions, ample practice time.
Too much time teaching treatment techniques. The level of detail is unnecessary. Could be a 1 day course with the exception of having real patients.
Maybe elaborate on hand placements more. Possibly a CD ROM of the techniques made available for purchase at the course.
I always feel more enthusiastic about returning to work after your courses and confident that I will become a better clinician.
Thanks Angelo! I think that therapists (including MD's, OT's, Sports Trainers, & PT's) don't realize the feeling of success to have a system-based approach. It will only make you a better clinician!
Thanks
Instructor needs to be a little more consistent in sticking to the schedule.
Excellent work Angelo. Continue to spread you wealth of knowledge for improved patient care.
By far the most informative cervical course, relevant to clinicians for immediate application. Documentation and treatment strategies were precise and most helpful.
Rational, Scientific, Methodological. Progresses with exceptional logic.
Great job - builds on concepts I learned in SO I. I believe all spine patients should be approached in the same analytical, logical cause & effect fashion.
It was great - helped to put current understanding into perspective & improve manual handling skills.
This system should be REQUIRED at all entry level PT programs and held as the gold stndard for treatment of mechanical spinal pain. Thanks again. I'll be back! Karen B., PT (practicing over 25 years).
I knew this would be excellent.
I can't wait to use these new skills with my current patients!
I felt very confident that I could use this program in my clinic. I feel confident in all the manual techniques and exercises.
Great job Angelo. Glad it finally happened. (Cert. MDT).
•I want to thank you for helping me enjoy my profession more and for helping me get outcomes I never thought I would obtain with my pts.
2006
I am so excited to apply this new approach to my cervical / thoracic patients, as I have had so much success now with my lumbar patients using this approach.
Great job, hope golf is as entertaining.
Thank you - I learned a lot!
Angelo is an asset to the PT profession.
GREAT course.
Good mix of humor. Thank you for the personal advise.
I came here with previous exposure to this by co-workers who had already been to this course. Now I have a full understanding of how best to serve my cervical / thoracic patients. Thanks so much. J.M. PTA.
Less stop & go. Show 2-3 techniques, then break into groups and practice.
Great job! This met my needs (considering my A.D.D.-like personality).
Thanks again!
Great course, answered all of my questions. Maybe combine some of the manual labs at one time.
Please do a manual mob. course! And anatomy (functional) review with review of spinal motion. This would be helpful in both SO I & II. Thanks!
Could have moved faster during the assymetrical algorythm. Did like the ability to ask questions and relate ideas back to the lumbar course.
Thanks! It's nice to finally have success with patient care!
I was concerned that I would have a tough time grasping this course compared to the lumbar, but because I attended the lumbar course prior, I absorbed the info. well & understand the concept.
Angelo was very relaxed and approachable. His attitude toward teaching and helping us learn is great!
Can't wait to start using this program.
Would be nice if this course (SO II) was offer as a 4 day course for OTR's so they did not have to attend the lumbar course first.
Angelo is a great instructor - he takes his time & makes time for all questions - is personable & easy to talk to. He shows great concern for others. Appears sincere. This course was easier to handle being that it is only 2 days long. I feel OT's would benefit from this course.
A great follow-up to S.O. I. I can't wait to try it out!
This course has really changed our clinic. We all now have better alternatives & ideas towards back &
neck pain. Really nice job! Thank You!
Angelo has to be the BEST overall instructor I've ever had. He makes everything easy for the clinician & patient to understand with no complex Home Exercise Programs or treatments to administer. I can't wait to return to the clinic to try this on my own patients.
Excellent course, would recommend it to my colleagues.
Can't wait for my 2 new cervical patients tomorrow! And beyond. As with the lumbar course, this is just phenomenal. Loved the hands-on aspect! Bring on the necks! Mark S., PT, ATC
Wonderful course just like the lumbar course.
Appreciate your professional dedication to the system that you have developed.
Great course.
Based upon the recommendation of colleagues, I have really been waiting for this course. Has been worth the wait. I have been a PT for 23 years and this is one of the best cervical courses I have taken in that time
2007
Having a 3rd patient would be helpful...maybe. Can't wait for SO IV. Can't thank you enough for all your help!
The lumbar course was career changing - much better results and easier on my body (less mobilization, METS, etc.). I know this course will do the same. Thanks - Joel H., PT.
Computerized version of the documentation system would be helpful.
All useful info., can be used with my patients as soon as course is finished.
Excellent instruction with loads of information on communication and hands-on delivery to the patient.
Great course! I need to spend more time and fish for more details with my patients to improve outcomes.
This is without a doubt the most "user-friendly" course for the spine.
Keep up the good work. Very clear cut and systematic. Thank You!
Excellent course! Clarified some areas of SO I that I was unclear on. Also, great reinforcement of the need to "stay the course" and remain focused and diligent and not get soft. I'm looking forward to attending the SO III course for headaches. Aslo, very useful in knowing when to try lateral forces vs. staying with symmetrical forces in the neck.
Most organized course series (SO I & II) that I have ever attended. I leave each course feeling more prepared than ever to treat spinal pain.
Another great course, helps to refocus my low back treatments also.
It is so incredibly helpful to go through Evals. & Reevals. with live patients: it gives us great opportunities to help stay focused and on track, and not lose sight of important little details. We can go back and immediately apply what we have learned on our patients.
Thank you for reminding me to focus on the details.
Surprisingly, the course exceeded my expectations even though I have attended this course previously.
I only wish we could have had a patient that needed an unloaded PREP to see how they would respond. Wonderful course. I can't wait for the next one.
The review of the lumbar concepts was excellent. I now realize that I was not being detailed enough and forgot to use some of the strategies.
SO II helped clarify info. from SO I. These 2 courses have changed my treatment approach. I've seen much greater results. I definately feel more confident and empowered to make good clinical decisions. Thank You!
Once again, I am excited to apply the newly learned techniques to patient treatment. This is such valuable information that it should be taught in college! Thank you!
Great course. Having good outcomes with my neck & back patients; can’t wait for the headache/TMJ seminar.
I believe this will be as practice changing for me as the Lumbar seminar was for me. Great course!
I will look forward to the next course and continue to feel this is the best program in my 20 years of work. My patients & I appreciate the success & quality of life.
Excellent practical application. I understand how to start/advance my next cervical & UE client!
The patient demonstrations & case studies are extremely helpful to be able to use “real” situations. I now know what to do! Able to begin using material next day.
Thanks
If you develop a residency program, please post that information. I would be interested!
Thank you for coming to Columbus. You are a great instructor. I find it very easy to learn from you because you are detail oriented! I have had better success with my lumbar patients and I am excited to see better results with my cervical patients in the future!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us.
Great course. Appreciate your expertise & enthusiasm.
I appreciate the organized & detailed layout of this program.
I find cervical & thoracic patients the most difficult to treat – I’m excited to apply everything I’ve learned in SO I & II and I’m confident that I’ll get positive results. Thanks - !
I’m no longer fearful of patients presenting with cervical, thoracic, or lumbar problems. I feel I can explain my objectives and how to achieve them clearly. I have had good results after taking SO I.
Well done. We need further options for headache & migraine course. I also feel that these courses have made me a better clinician.
The material flows well for an overall understanding of the concept.
Thanks again Angelo.
Another wonderful learning experience that I’m sure will help me treat my patients more effectively. Thanks so much!
Again – excellent overall. Reinforced use of the documentation system & being objective. Consistent with the lumbar documentation & use of the PREP. Hands on approach to the cervical spine makes a lot of sense for getting the patient started correctly with their home exercise program. This course will definitely improve the way I treat. PT, (Cert. MDT).
As always, you build confidence in our evaluation skills and provide tools that are easy for instruction. Thank you for expanding my McKenzie education. K. Hill, PT, (Cert. MDT).
My expectations were very high and I know from the SO I course that my outcomes with several changes I learned will be remarkable. I wasn’t sure my expectations were met at the time of the last day of SO I. I was pleasantly surprised how seemingly minor changes in my approach made huge changes in my patient’s success and my confidence to implement those changes. Now I only want to treat spine and want to take the H/A / Migraine course as soon as it’s available. Thank You. (Cert. MDT).
Observation of your technique using partial ranges of retraction and extension was most important to me. I thought you always had to go to end range. Wanted to mention that Adam Johnson was an excellent helper in lab with answering questions & giving constructive criticism & suggestions. I learned way more than I expected I would given I have already been using your cervical method of treatment. I am excited to be more confident in treating my cervical pts. now. (Cert. MDT).
Great Job! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, experience, & expertise! (McK.)
I liked SO I better. Thought it was more systematic & organized. Possibly make this course 3 days with a few more patients or 3rd day a half day for people to leave early. (McK).
Looking forward to H/A course. (McK. A&B)
A little more information for filling out Reexam. Form. A little confusing on 2nd visit the best way to record information. (McK. A)
Excellent as expected! Look forward to headache course. – Erica (McK. A-C).
I recommend therapists repeat these courses. New info is always absorbed. Different patient scenarios present themselves when repeating courses.
Thank you! Can’t wait to try it out. Will work on my own teenagers…better late than never right?! And thank you for being available for my phone calls!! Miriam Garrett.
Great course. Angelo is so organized & very good at explaining. He makes it easy to understand.
More time to practice techniques. I frequently did not get the opportunity to have the technique performed on me. Difficult to work in 3’s, although having an observer was good.
Great course. I can’t wait to re-eval my neck pts. You have convinced me to go back and argue the case to use the documentation system. I’ll admit I have a few pt’s where I feel like I’m not sure where we are, and I’m betting, as you stated, it is because I haven’t been using the system.
Angelo sets a great example of being organized, patient with the process, & FOCUSED on what’s important. Thank you so much.
The algorithm was (is) helpful.
Excellent course, I would recommend it to my friends & colleagues who haven’t taken any spine courses.
2008
When you feel like abandoning ship don't despair... follow the cervical algorithm and stay the course. I plan to reassess my stubborn "shoulder" patients first thing Monday morning - perhaps I am missing the cervical involvement.
I really enjoyed the hands on lab.
Looking forward to "Headache/Migraine" course.
Please bring the Migraine course to the east coast in 2009!!
Excellent course. Angelo takes the complicated patient presentation and breaks it down into a progressive, intuitive process of eval. & treatment.
Thanks Angelo - another excellent course - very practical.
Please bring SO III (Migraine) to the East Coast soon!!!
Thanks Angelo. Can't wait to start practicing with this improved method.
I was your volunteer patient and cannot believe my symptoms completely abolished after having them constant down my arm for 9 months. My symptoms were as high as 8/10 prior to my treatment with you today. I will recommend this course and techniques to everyone I can. Angelo is amazing. Jen Ross, PTA.
Fantastic course. I have been trying to apply this material by instruction from a colleague. It is critical to be present at the course to increase the preciseness of the material. This has been a very worthwhile way to spend my weekend.
Excellent course.
(Awesome) makes me confident to practice my profession with neck pt.'s and UE pt's..
Angelo - Thanks for all you do for our profession, encouraging us to be better than we are at treating and documenting. I really appreciate your willingness to share your skills/knowledge.
